THOUGHTS TO MEDITATE ON
Through out life we are faced with many challenges. Some of those challenges can seem overwhelming and difficult to see the end result. When those times come, there are four things you can focus on to keep a thankful heart for all God has done for you. Just remember to:
1. THINK ABOUT ALL GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU IN THE PAST
He chose you before the foundation of the world ~ Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
He died for you and rose again ~ 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
He heard your voice as you called out to Him ~ Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
He provided a Comforter
~ John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;He pardoned you
~ Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. He blessed you
~ Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:He predestined and adopted you
~ Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,2. THINK ABOUT GOD'S LOVE AND HIS CARE FOR YOU TODAY
He provides all you need
~ Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
He is with you and will never leave you ~ Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
He is helping you
~ Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
3. THINK ABOUT THE PROMIES IN GOD'S WORD
He assures you of eternal life
~ 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.If you ask according to His will, he will hear you
~ 1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
His thoughts of you are more in number then the sand
~Psalm 139:17-18 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
He has engraved you on the palms of His hand
~ Isaiah 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.
He will guide you continually
~ Isaiah 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
He will never leave or forsake you
~ Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
He will strengthen and help you
~ Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
He will be with you
~ Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Nothing can separate you from Him
~ Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Because He lives, you will also
~John 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
4. THINK ABOUT WHAT GOD WILL DO FOR YOU IN THE FUTURE.
He is preparing a home in heaven
~ John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. You will be made like Him ~ 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
There will be no more sickness, tears, or death in heaven
~ Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
