DIVINE INTERVENTIONS BY GOD

All through Scripture we can see how God divinely intervened on behalf of individuals, armies and complete nations. God has intervened throughout history...and continues to intervene right now in the present on our behalf. As you reflect over your life, you will no doubt be able to remember more than one instance of how you have seen God's intervention in your life. Take a moment and meditate on the following instances in Scripture that God's intervention was so apparent...and then spend time thanking God that He is YOUR God and loves you so much.

Daniel 

 God sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lion.  Daniel 6

 

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego 

 God sent his angel to deliver them from the fiery furnace.  Daniel 3

 

Children of Israel

God opened the Red Sea for them to cross over and then when the Egyptians followed them, they were all destroyed. Exodus 14-15

 

Widow and her son

God provided meal and oil and later raised her son from the dead.   I Kings 17

 

Elijah

God sent fire from heaven to consume his sacrifice in front of all of the Baal worshippers.  I Kings 18

 

Elijah

God took him to heaven in a chariot of fire. 2 Kings 2

 

Wife of a dead prophet

God filled all of her borrowed jars with oil so she could sell it and pay her bills.  
2 Kings 4

 

Naaman

God healed his leprosy.  2 Kings 5

 

Israelites

God blinded their enemy and gave the Israelites the victory.  2 Kings 6

Hezekiah

God extended his life by 15 years.  2 Kings 20:1-10

 

Gideon

God used 300 men to win the battle against thousands. Judges 7

 

Samson

God restored his strength and he killed more in his death then is his life.  Judges 16:27-30

 

Joshua

God brought the walls of Jericho down. ~ Joshua 6

 

Ruth

God brought Boaz into her life who later became the great-grandfather of David. Ruth 1-4

 

David

God gave him victory over the giant Goliath. 1 Samuel 17

 

Jehoshaphat

God fought the battle and told his people to stand still and see the victory. 2 Chronicles 20

 

Nehemiah

God worked in the heart of Artaxerxes to allow Nehemiah to go and rebuild the wall. Nehemiah 3-4

 

Esther

God allowed Eshter to become queen and go before King Ahasuerus to plead for her people. Esther 1-10

 

Joseph

God turned the evil done to Joseph into good. Genesis 50

 

Jeremiah

God equipped him to be His prophet. Jeremiah 1

 

Jonah

God prepared a fish to swallow Jonah. Jonah 1-4

 

Elizabeth

God allowed her to have a son in her old age. Luke 1

 

Mary

God made her the mother of Jesus, the Savior of the world. Luke 2

Ten Lepers

God healed them of leprosy. Luke 17:11-19

 

Jesus Christ

God raised Him from the dead. Luke 24:1-12

 

Lazarus

Jesus raised him from the dead. John 11-12

 

Five Thousand

Jesus fed them with 5 loaves and 2 fish. John 6

 

Blind Bartimaeus

Jesus gave him sight. Mark 10

 

Saul

God converted him. Acts 9

 

Peter

God released him from prison. Acts 12

 

Paul

God spared his life from a ship wreck. Acts 27:13-44
