CAST YOUR CARES ON THE LORD

Throughout Scripture, we see God's instructions and commands to us. Many times within the same verse of command, a promise is given. Ay we read God's Word, we can, through prayer, ask God to help us obey Him. We can follow that by thanking Him for His promise if we are obedient. The following verses are just a few examples.

VERSE ~ Jeremiah 33:3

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Call unto me,

PROMISE ~ and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

VERSE ~ Proverbs 3:6

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ In all thy ways acknowledge him,

PROMISE ~ and he shall direct thy paths.

VERSE ~ Psalm 50:15

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ And call upon me in the day of trouble:

PROMISE ~ I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

VERSE ~ Psalm 27:14

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Wait on the LORD: be of good courage,

PROMISE ~ and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

VERSE ~ Psalm 37:4

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Delight thyself also in the LORD;

PROMISE ~ and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

VERSE ~ Psalm 37:5

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him;

PROMISE ~ and he shall bring it to pass.

VERSE ~ Psalm 37:34

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Wait on the LORD, and keep his way,

PROMISE ~ and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: ...

VERSE ~ Psalm 62:8

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him:

PROMISE ~ God is a refuge for us. Selah.

VERSE ~ Psalm 106:1

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD;

PROMISE ~ for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

VERSE ~ Psalm 115:11

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD:

PROMISE ~ he is their help and their shield.

VERSE ~ Proverbs 14:26

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence:

PROMISE ~ and his children shall have a place of refuge.

VERSE ~ Matthew 6:33

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;

PROMISE ~ and all these things shall be added unto you.

VERSE ~ Matthew 10:19

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak:

PROMISE ~ for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

VERSE ~ Joshua 1:7

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left,

PROMISE ~ that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

VERSE ~ Joshua 1:9

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:

PROMISE ~ for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

VERSE ~ Deuteronomy 31:6

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them:

PROMISE ~ for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

VERSE ~ Ephesians 4:32

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,

PROMISE ~ even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

VERSE ~ Ephesians 6:2-3

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

PROMISE ~ That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

VERSE ~ James 4:7

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil,

PROMISE ~and he will flee from you.

VERSE ~ 1 Peter 5:6

COMMAND/INSTRUCTION ~ Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,

PROMISE ~ that he may exalt you in due time:
